Thank you Jason for setting up this blog!! I guess we are a “nomadic” couple as we really only have a true summer home in Big Lake. We decided to take this journey once David retired from Century Link in December of 2017. We stay in our Big Lake home, April 15th to October 15th so then our dilemma was where to stay the rest of the year.
David hates the cold and I am flexible as long as I have internet access to continue working. After leaving Minnesota in September we rented a condo in North Myrtle Beach, SC.

(Not the view from the condo….LOL) But this is what is best about the area — the great waves on the water. We enjoyed our SC home and were somewhat sad to pack up for our next rental. But first a trip home to see everyone for Christmas!
Our journey to our home in Helen…actually it is Sautee Nachoochee, was interesting as the roads in the mountains were very hills and curvy. Signs warned you to watch for oncoming vehicles crossing the yellow center double line! WHAT?? Shouldn’t they be warned to stay on their side of the road! Well, good thing the warning was there because they do cross the double yellow line. It was an adventurous drive. But we finally arrived at our home until April!

Now if the bears just stay hibernated until May 1, I will be happy. Apparently they do like to come down that hill and rummage through the garbage on the side of the house. That garbage is now chained closed so hopefully that does not make Mama or Papa angry!!
