So before that fun Vikings game we decided to go on what I would thought would be a reasonable hike. According to the website the hike to the falls was about .7 miles. We had been walking 2 miles every day in South Carolina so I thought “what the heck” this should be easy!! Well, what the website failed to warn those that wanted to venture on this walk that of .7 miles about .6999 was straight UP!! And I am not trying to describe a slight incline this was UP….the type of UP that would make your ears pop if you were driving in a car!
But as ventured UP…this was a beginning of the great sights we were in store for! I know….Minnesotans see icicles all the time! But these were just hanging over the river just suspended in time.
We did continue the trek UP and were finally rewarded with this final amazing double waterfall.
The trek UP was definitely worth it! This is the double falls and off to the right was a smaller falls. We will definitely try this again in a month or so to see if the Spring waters have impacted the fall.
Oh, and we are trying to learn how to do selfies! Jackie says we are getting there!
