Happy Taco Tuesday everyone!! 🙂
Well everything went well for my birthday Roto-Rooter appointment! 🙂 They found a couple of specimens that they sent to the lab, but both were benign and I don’t need to go back for 5 years!! YEA!! I asked my surgeon if I should make that appointment with him or one of the regular docs, but he said no, I like to catch up with you so make it with me!! LOL…I think he just likes to admire his own handiwork of doing my right hemocoloctomy – I think he carved his initials in my colon so he likes to keep checking on on those!
I did need to take a COVID test, which I did the Wednesday before. That was an interesting experience. I made an appointment for the Plymouth Park Nicollet location and was mildly surprised that it was a drive up set up! I guess I thought since I had to make it an appointment it would be inside the clinic. They had a 2 station set up, with no one waiting before me. I drove in, they asked for ID and proceeded with the test. All I will say, is that I closed my eyes!! She took the stick thing out of the hermetically sealed covering and it just kept getting longer and longer and I knew I could not watch this at all!! It was over pretty quick, and really only felt a little scratchy and it turned out negative. So really not that bad at all!!

Caley called me on my birthday. She had just gotten to work at B-Dubs — she was the “manager in charge” for a few hours. She said she had been driving home the day before in one of these storms and say kids playing out in the puddles. She said “Grandma sometimes I still want to be a kid running in puddles. It is funny when we are kids we want to be adults and when we are adults we want to be kids!” Such a cute observation on her part!!
Hot News of the Day
Did you know that there is currently a pickle shortage? I thought it was strange that in both AZ and MN when I looked for my favorite pickles (Clausen), the section where they should be were empty!! I did luck out and find some at Cub on morning, but have not since then! Jackie has been experiencing different cravings with this pregnancy (so she believes it is a girl….LOL) and pickles seem to be the only thing that she really wants either as a craving or to help her nausea. She was trying to order groceries and got this message:

But her neighbors in St. Louis Park came to the rescue!!
As you can see, one of them had a jar of pickles to save the day and the other neighbor gave her cucumbers to help tide her over and he plans to can some dill and spicy pickles for her. We were curious if there truly is a pickle shortage and found this:

So if you are a pickle fan, especially of Clausen’s, you may want to stock up whenever you can!! 🙂
We watched Jaxen on Saturday and there were not too many “mommy go” between tears this time. He actually said “Mommy Go” once and I said “Mommy Shopping” and all was good.
Well hope you all have a great week!! Stay healthy and safe!
