Clouds

It is an interesting Wednesday with so many clouds in the sky — this is a view from our deck!

When I was still working I would often share my view from my work spot with my co-workers. Especially when we were renting in SC and GA, the views were different than MN or LA. Now I have no co-workers so I just have to share here! 🙂 It is nice to be able to sit outside and do my “work”. LOL

Speaking of “work” – I volunteered with another member here to rewrite our Bylaws…must have had too much coffee that day so was silly to volunteer…LOL. As the two of us started to look at the current ones, we really felt a full rewrite was needed. There are so many clauses that had not been included in the original set and even though they have been amended a number of times, the originals are from 40 years ago. After this crazy year, we know we need to address options such as electronic notifications, zoom meetings, and other options to make communication stronger within the park. So we presented to the Board our plan and now we have to proceed. Luckily the current Bylaws statement on changes take a long time so we have all winter to get these done. Now I do like to procrastinate, but I think getting a jump on these would be best. I am starting with my simple sections first!

Max finally got groomed this week!!! YEA!!! He was so scraggily and would get so hot on walks on those humid days!! Of course now you have to book far in advance since they are limited on how many dogs they can groom at a time and how many groomers can be in the room. His bangs had been so long that I actually trimmed them at one point so he could see!! 🙂 The grooming result was fantastic!!

One thing, among so many others, with this COVID stuff is that we cannot go and visit friends that are here this year. At least we do not feel that we should…others probably think differently. So it feels like a piece of the summer fun and adventure is missing this year. E-mails help, but just not the same as actually seeing someone face to face. We do Zoom with David’s siblings every 2 weeks – that is kind of fun to see everyone and catch up with them and how their kids are doing.

We are starting to think about our plans to head back to AZ. We are thinking maybe mid-September and we will take 10-14 days to get back. We had wanted to go to see our friends in Louisiana, but that will not happen this year. We would like to go to Lewis & Clark Recreation area again and maybe drive through Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. We think the trailer will be OK for the drive, but I did read that they limit the number of people that can come in to the park so you have to get tickets in advance. Those drives through the national parks are also so nice!!

Not much else going on. We did see Jaxen last Thursday, but he was very clingy to his mom thinking it was going to be a “mommy shopping” night! 🙂 We had decided we would just visit that night and will also do the same tomorrow night so maybe he gets the thought that we are not always there to babysit him. Hopefully that strategy will work!!
