It was quiet this weekend at Carefree since no activities have been allowed yet due to the Roni Rona. But DIL, Jen and I knew we had to plan a game day so we did that on Sunday. It was crazy weather on Sunday — in the morning we had the air on because it was so humid the cards were sticking to the table!! By the evening we had the little fireplace on with heat!!

This is Jason and Jen when they used our trailer for camping a few weeks ago!! The above game is Oceans, which we never got a chance to play, but is typical of the type of games that Jason finds for us – luck and strategy type of games. They are very different from the games we played with them when they were kids!! Lots of fun and we also got in one game of hand/foot which the boys won.
This is usually the day that we all get to see first day of school pictures!! They are usually all over Facebook, but this year is changed for many districts. One of our granddaughters will go completely online and the other will go with the hybrid model and will go in to the school building starting on Thursday this week. It will definitely be a different year for both of them!
Friday our little block celebrated Jackie’s 81st birthday. It was fun with our golf carts (social distancing) around Kent and Sue’s fire ring and I think Jackie enjoyed the little celebration.

And you know the summer season is coming to an end, as the Park Manager, Mike, sent an email this morning that today is the last day of swimming…as if anyone would swim with it just being in the 50’s — and they will start to drain the pool tomorrow. Always a sign that the season is coming to an end. Our neighbors will start to leave this week, and some will stay until the first week in October. With hardly any activities this year, except for golf, it was a strange season.
Speaking of golf….LOL…I did go one afternoon and had mixed results which seems typical of golf. Although on hole 6, Par 3, I did get on the green on my drive and then putted so close almost got a birdie, but instead I got par.

Not that anyone should applaud my skills because the hole before I lost 2 balls in the woods and hole 9, I lost my favorite pink ball in the woods — so hot and cold!
Well hope everyone has a great short week!
Stay safe and healthy!
