I have definitely neglected my blog over the last few weeks! 🙂 Even though we are starting to pack up to get ready to head back to MN, I wanted to take some time this morning to try to catch up a little.
Some may think I only have those 2 little grandsons….LOL….but I actually also have 3 granddaughters. But it seems like I only get pictures of the g-sons on a regular basis…most likely because they are little and what often happens as kids get older we don’t take as many pictures. I wanted to dedicate this blog to one of those “older” g-daughters that had a milestone birthday on April 11!
I say milestone because she turned 15 and that is the time that often the responsibility of driving is added to a teenagers already busy life! I ever did “driver’s training” with any of the kids and that great task was always David’s. I was too much of a nervous ninny to try to have the patience not to want to grab the wheel or jump on the brakes while in training! So I don’t envy Jenny and Jen as they enter this phase of Erin’s teenage years…they did survive Emily, so I am sure their level of confidence is elevated.
Erin was the most cuddly baby!! After a crazy day at work, I would often call Jenny and say I needed an “Erin fix”!

She was always so cuddly and would vanish any of the stresses of the day very quickly. Erin always seemed to smile, she always seems to have a hidden joke in her mind at all times. Between her and Emily she was the short one growing up….but that quickly changed.

Erin has quite the personality, often coming out in her pictures!

She soon passed her mom and big sister in height, but those long legs would be her strength as she decided to join the cross country team at STMA.

Last year was a unique birthday for Erin as she celebrated COVID style with a “drive by” birthday celebration, including us via Zoom (on the orange Home Depot bucket) from Arizona. I am sure that will be a birthday to remember!!

Although I am late posting this birthday blog, I hope this birthday and many others to come will be a time of celebration as Erin continues to grow up to be the beautiful young lady she has become. Enjoy every day, Erin, as you travel through this adventure of life!!
