So with the news I received from Dr. Chen the previous night, and her suggestion that another MRI be completed, the festivities of the wedding had a small little gray cloud hanging overhead. I knew I would not tell any of the wedding party until after the wedding but did confide in a couple of people just to have additional support. It was now “Bob the Blob” and when I did share it with the wedding party, I told them that a name helps to give it a little levity.
But first…the wedding!! It was so much fun and I was the officiant when Caley and Darcee exchanged their vows! It was so much fun and so many great memories. I did put in little spatters of humor, but still keeping the seriousness of exchanging vows. Before the ceremony started, I told the limited audience (it was immediate family only) that we were delayed because of a medical emergency. With the gasps that came from everyone, I said let me clarify that with a very minor medical emergency. Seems Jermar (Caley’s step-father) cut himself shaving…he is bald so shaves his head — and could not get it to stop bleeding. With eyelash glue in hand as one option, they finally got it to stop! After the wedding we went to a park for family pictures and the weather was perfect. Jason even brought his drone and he took some great shots above all of us. The reception followed and I think about 150 people attended that. Great food…interesting music (young kids music), fantastic speeches and all around the best time ever. Oh and the night before, Thursday, they had a Welcome Gathering at Caley’s work The Tavern and the turnout was great there. The weather that night was also great. Saturday after the wedding we went to a couple of breweries in Fargo.
Some Pictures of the Wedding will be in a future post…having trouble getting the pictures uploaded! π¦
