Be ready for your flight Larry at 2:50 pm tomorrow, so you better be ready!! LOL. Kind of anxious tonight so thought it would help to write a little before tomorrow. I know it is a fairly simple surgery especially compared to the sarcoma surgery in December, but still lots of things going around in my little pea brain. No food or drink, except water after midnight…and NO COFFEE!!! YIKES I hope everyone in the operating room and on the support staff understand that I have not had any coffee!! I can have water up until 10:50, so as my DIL suggested I can put hot water in a coffee cup and pretend I am drinking very weak coffee.
It was funny when I thought “Bye, Bye, Larry” I seemed to remember some boy band back from when the girls were younger with the “Bye, Bye…” but I could not remember which of the many boy bands….turns out it was *NSYNC, which my DIL told me. I think many of us had bands that we enjoyed at one point in time….for me it was the Monkees and I had posters all over in my room of them….pictures from Tiger Beat and other teen magazines. But that Bye Bye theme was an ear worm for me for a couple of days once I said that phrase.
Had my pre-op yesterday. Those just seem like a waste of time, especially when I had all the same tests in December. I understand, the insurance company probably requires it…or maybe the surgical team and their hospital require it before any surgeries….just not much really done during the pre-op other than BP, heart, height, weight, etc. I have heard from others that this seems kind of a waste of time, but I can see if someone has not been to the doctor in a long span of time, that they need to make sure everything is working as it should be.
Reading another good book…One for the Blackbird, One for the Crow, which is really good. At first I was not sure I wanted to start it with it being close to 500 pages. But it is pretty quick reading and keeps my interest very well. Right now it is nice to have a great book like this to keep my attention.
Well, tomorrow is another day and another step in this adventure.
I did sit outside a couple of hours to day reading because the weather was so nice. What a great way to relax.
Stay happen and enjoy something sweet! 🙂
