Blog Thoughts

Over the summer, I really struggled with depression. I just wanted to stay inside at Big Lake and work on needle work and not interact with anyone. I did give in a couple of times…LOL… and went to a couple of ladies lunches and group lunches towards the end of the season and it was fun. I always tell myself next year I will be more sociable…LOL!!

At one point I even thought of just closing down my blog. We don’t travel as much as we did when I started this blog and just felt it was useless to write. But then I reassessed and knew that this Blog is more for me…to remember what life brought us and what was around us that we observed. No one may read this, but that doesn’t matter because someday I can look back and remember where we were and what we did…the fun and adventures throughout. So even though the summer was a struggle I have tried to turn myself around and get more structure in my life. I am still struggling with my leg…the area around my knee is numb. I walk most of the time without the cane, but stairs scare the bejezzes out of me, so I know I need more strength. I am going to ask the surgeon if he would be willing to order a few more PT’s for me and get that strength better. We watched the boys on Sunday while Jackie and Jermar went to the Vikings game and for the first time in a couple of years I went downstairs with the boys while they played (wrestled) in the family room. So certainly that is progress…but still not as far as I think I could be.

We did close down the Carefree place on October 3rd and then went on a 2 week “vacation”…I guess not really “vacation” when you are retired, as my sister told me. LOL So a 2 week road trip. It started with seeing the Broadway traveling show of A Beautiful Noise (the Neal Diamond story) and ended with the Paul McCartney concert. In between we got to see amazing Fall colors and BIG boats. LOL I love big boats!!

More to come on our trip.

Stay good…stay strong…stay clear!
