A Better Computer

Well, we are home and I finally have access to my “real” computer and can post pictures like a champ. It is just sooooo easy doing on this computer!!! I have edited the first 3 days of our trip adding pictures and also some comments that are in parenthesis, in case you were wondering.

It is nice to be back home and we did a lot of unpacking, cleaning things out after bringing stuff back from Carefree. Went through the refrigerator and pantry throwing away expired items which filled a good size garbage bad. Fun to get rid of that stuff and be a little more organized.

Before we left for vacation, our washer broke! YIKES what a bummer and just before leaving and still having to wash clothes to pack! So it was off to the laundromat for me. I have not been at a laundromat in probably 40 years or more. But thought I would make the best of it in that I brought a book and just planned to sit in a comfy chair and read while the loads ran….LOL…far from comfy in that they were pure metal. I guess they don’t want you hanging around too long…only long enough to do your laundry and then GET OUT!! LOL

We looked at new washers since it seems like fixing the old one would be far more extensive and it would probably have to be hauled away for the work to take place. So we found one we really liked and had it installed on Saturday.

He took the door off of the laundry room…and it is so funny how they just move these things around like they weigh next to nothing. Took away the old one and I probably washed 12 loads that day. He did say we should test it out as much as we could!

The next day was Jaxen’s Flag Football game. It turned out to be a beautiful day with the sun helping to keep us warm.

He looks serious!! LOL His team was 4-0 before the game and won this one so ended the season with 5-0. Next Sunday they will have the qualifying round and then will move to championships either at Eagan High School or at the Vikings TCO Stadium. Hopefully they get the chance to play at TCO…would be very cool for those boys!

After the game we went to the Fall Harvest Apple Farm in Delano. What a fun place…very, very crowded with MEA weekend, a beautiful Fall Day and no Vikings game. It was Jackie, Jermar, Jaxen, Jaylen, David, I, Jen, Jason and Jermar’s sister, Tell and her family. We were just inside the entrance and I did something to my hip and at first I could barely walk. But still walked up the hill to the food trucks, but after a quick lunch we decided to leave…I was not sure how long the hip would bother me, plus we had a long walk back to the car. Here are some pictures from the day…so fun…and great weather!

All in all a good deal of fun! The road that took us to that farm was the road that we took from Delano to the cabin we had when I was a kid on Lake Ann near Winstead. I was tempted to continue on the road to see if I could find where the cabin was, but pain level was a little too elevated to not get home. That area sure has been built up!! Same with Delano!

Enjoy the great weather! Smile at yourself!
