Today I updated the last 2 days of our Dam Tour and added pictures to Day 5 and Day 6 and 7. In the Day 6 and 7 post I also added some additional paragraphs about the Chain of Rocks Lock and Dam that we were so looking forward to seeing….but as our luck would have it, the bridge was closed due to construction to the viewing area. The only picture I got was from the freeway bridge going over the canal…so disappointed…
This week I had a dentist appointment to work on a tooth to replace a filling that fell out a month ago. And of course the fix would be a new crown for that tooth. As I was getting ready that morning I was trying to think of something, not so fun, that I would rather do than go to the dentist. First I thought that sarcoma surgery I had done in Mayo and thought maybe not that!! Too long to recover. But then I thought…a colonoscopy!!!! I would rather do that than go to the dentist I decided. Of course the procedure itself is a breeze….it is the prep that gets the bad rap. But as it turns out it was not at all bad, the dentist was great, the assistant was great and I decided I could lower my future anxiety when it comes to the dentist….hopefully. I have a temporary now and will get the permanent in 2 weeks.
Today we are having our carpeting stretched in the house. We started to notice about a year ago that there were growing wrinkles in the carpet both upstairs and downstairs. Talking to other neighbors apparently the carpet installation in these houses was not the best because others have experienced the same. Many have replaced the carpeting, but we thought we would try this first and then decide if we need to go to plan B. We did the stretching in our house and Arizona and it really turned out great. We will see how this works out.
Tomorrow Jaxen’s team is in the Flag Football playoffs at TCO Stadium in Eagan. TCO is the Vikings practice facility and since they have an away game on Sunday I assume they don’t need the facility so the FF playoffs get to play there. They take the one field and divide it in to 4 FF footballs fields so 4 games are going at once. I wanted to bring my cowbells to use when they scored a touchdown, but on the list of “you cannot do” at TCO stadium one was you that no noise makers were allowed…party poopers!! Also no chairs, no food, etc….lots of “No’s” but I am thinking that is more for when the Vikings play training camp games there. It will be a fun experience and I will take lots of pictures.
Sunday is the Vikings and the Lions!!!
Take care…keep warm…and have fun
